Welcome to Peg's Place - B&B

Peg's Place was first opened in June 2003 and has operated since then with the simple goal in mind to provide an exceptionally clean, comfortable place to stay with a self served breakfast.

The property is located in the heart of the community of Fogo, on Fogo Island within walking distance to most local amenities including restaurants, grocery stores, walking trails and the Island's only bank. We are only a short car ride to all the other communities on Fogo Island.

  • What time is check-in and check-out?
    Check-in time is at 2:00 PM and check-out is at 11:00 AM - However we understand that your schedule may change, and will try to be as flexible as possible.
  • What is your cancellation policy?
    If you need to cancel, we kindly ask for 72 hours notice prior to check-in for a full refund, minus a $10 cancellation & processing fee. In the event of a no-show or cancellation within 72 hours of check-in, we reserve the right to hold payment in full.
  • What kind of weather should I pack for?
    Mother mature is especially unpredictable on the island with rain, wind, snow (Dec - Apr), and temperature swings. We recommend you pack for all possibilities, especially if you plan on hiking our trails!
  • How does your ferry system operate?
    The Fogo Island / Change Islands Ferry operates year-round, however schedules may change due to emergency crossings, delays and mechanical trouble. You can NOT make a reservation. It is first come, first serve. We recommend guests traveling to the island to arrive approx. 1 hour before the planned crossing - especially during peak tourist season in July and August.   • Are there any restaurants nearby?
    Bangbelly Cafe and Kwungtung Chinese are located just a few buildings up the road and Cod Jigger Diner only a 10 minute drive away.
